Mildred Hammond
Mildred started painting 14 years ago when the opportunity arose to attend a weekly college art class- a long held wish. She thoroughly enjoys exploring landscapes and buildings; with an eye for patterns, texture and colours, she works in various media, including watercolour, acrylic, pen and ink and mixed media. Her love of the countryside, it's open spaces and mountains all help to inspire her work. Since her move to Lichfield, she regularly exhibits and sells her work in local galleries and shops.
Mildred is a member of The Lichfield Society of Artists and recieved a commendation for her Acrylic painting in thr Autumn 2006 exhibition. In the Spring 2006 exhibition she won two awards- The Society's Award of Excellence for Acrylic painting and the Society's Award for Excellence in Mixed Media
